Construction contract disputes.

Tim Rainey has extensive experience in acting for parties involved in construction contract disputes. That experience includes providing advice and representation on a wide range of construction disputes arising out of the performance of construction contracts and subcontracts under most of the standard form contracts used in New Zealand.

This includes disputes arising payment claims, claims for variations and extension time with associated claims for disruption and/or prolongation, as well as disputes over the standard of work performed under the contract including defect claims and warranty claims. Tim has extensive experience of the various ways in which those disputes can be resolved, including through claims under the Construction Contracts Act 2002 and through other dispute resolution processes provided for under most standard contracts including mediation and arbitration.
